I’ve been resisting the temptation to add this impression because it sounds rather unflattering, but every time a scroll past this I can’t help seeing this imagery: “Dead Moths on a Window Sill.” It’s not inspiring or romantic, but it is very well executed.
Moths and Butterflies have this amazing ability to exist in beauty even in death and these shapes certainly have that soft furry bodied winged effect. All impressions appreciated. They give an insight into how viable different impressions can be.
Believe it or not, I think it is effect of the mustard colored ‘woodwork’ that really does it for me. It truly mimics an old yellowing window sill turned insect graveyard.
